EVT25C-ALCSS — Aluminum Truss Clamp for 25mm Tubing with Wing Nut Closure
The EVT25C-ALCSS is a lightweight aluminum clamp for 25mm OD tubing, truss, and pipe — a wing nut closure variant in the EVT25C family for applications where tool-free hand-tightening is preferred over the nylon-insert locknut used on the EVT25C-ALC. The collar opens and closes around the tube, then locks down through an M6 x 30mm bolt with flat washer, lock washer, and wing nut — a complete hardware stack that distributes clamping load across the flat washer, maintains bolt tension through the lock washer, and allows hand-tightening and release without tools. Built from 6061-T6 aluminum alloy with S45C carbon steel hardware.
Function and Compatibility:
The EVT25C-ALCSS mounts to any 25mm OD round tube or pipe through a bolt-and-collar assembly. The collar opens, seats onto the tube, and closes before the M6 x 30mm bolt is inserted with the flat washer and lock washer stack, then the wing nut is tightened by hand to clamp the collar in place. The flat washer spreads the clamping load across the collar face; the lock washer resists the wing nut backing off under vibration. The longer 30mm bolt length accommodates the full hardware stack — flat washer, lock washer, and wing nut — above the collar without the bolt running short during tightening. Compatible with any round tube or pipe in the 25mm outer diameter range used in exhibition structures, retail displays, architectural installations, and small-diameter overhead pipe grid systems.
Key Features
- 25mm Tube Fit: Designed for 25mm OD tubing — the mid-range small-tube clamp for applications between the 20mm and 35mm clamp sizes.
- Wing Nut Closure: Hand-tightened M6 wing nut allows tool-free installation and repositioning — open, seat, and lock without wrenches or hex keys.
- Complete Hardware Stack: Ships with M6 x 30mm bolt, flat washer, lock washer, and wing nut — the flat washer distributes load across the collar face and the lock washer resists backing off under vibration.
- 6061-T6 Aluminum Body: High-strength structural aluminum keeps the clamp lightweight for quantity use without adding significant load to the structure.
- S45C Carbon Steel Hardware: High-strength S45C carbon steel fasteners for reliable long-term clamping performance.
Assembly Instructions
- Release the nylon-insert locknut by turning it counterclockwise to release the bolt and open the collar.
- Place the EVT25C-ALCSS on the truss, tube, or pipe and close the collar.
- Put the bolt back in place with the washer and nylon-insert locknut above the collar.
- Make sure the EVT25C-ALCSS is located in its proper place on the truss, tube, or pipe before tightening the nylon-insert locknut.
- Turn the nylon-insert locknut clockwise to tighten and secure the EVT25C-ALCSS into place.
Safety and Rigging Notice
Critical Rigging Guidelines:
- Load Rating: Do not exceed the rated load capacity of the EVT25C-ALCSS or the truss system it is installed on.
- Inspection: The EVT25C-ALCSS should be fully inspected before every use. In the occurrence of any damage or defect, the clamp should not be used.
- Secondary Safety: The use of safety cables is recommended for maximum security on all overhead applications.
- Professional Review: The purchase of this product does not authorize or approve a specific installation or use. A licensed professional engineer shall review all structures, lighting plots, or other clamp uses.
