EVT50C-ASE — 2-Inch Truss Clamp with Reversed Elbow and Half Coupler
The EVT50C-ASE is a medium-duty 2-inch clamp with reversed elbow and half coupler for 48mm to 51mm (2-inch) OD truss, tube, and pipe — the silver-finish counterpart to the EVT50C-BSE for installations on standard aluminum truss systems where the clamp color needs to match the surrounding structure. Rated at max load 300 kg with 14.71 kN tensile strength, at 0.88 lbs with a 30mm narrow profile width sized to clear the diagonal cross bracing of standard square truss, built from 6061-T6 aluminum alloy, and TUV Nord Certified. A downloadable 3D file is available for CAD integration.
Function and Compatibility:
The EVT50C-ASE clamps to any 48mm to 51mm OD round tube or pipe through a wing nut collar assembly. Like the BSE, the 30mm narrow profile allows the clamp body to seat between the diagonal cross brace members of standard square truss — clearing the geometry that prevents standard-width clamps from seating at mid-span and single-tube positions. The reversed elbow at the attachment point offsets the fixture or hardware connection away from the tube centerline, allowing fixtures to be positioned at angles and offsets that a straight-through half-coupler cannot achieve. The silver aluminum finish matches standard brushed aluminum truss components — the correct choice when the installation is on silver truss and clamp visibility is preferred to be consistent with the surrounding hardware rather than contrasting against it. Compatible with EVT290S, EVT290I, F34 series truss main chords, and standard Schedule 40 aluminum pipe in the 48mm to 51mm outer diameter range.
Key Features
- Reversed Elbow Geometry: The elbow at the attachment point offsets the fixture connection away from the tube axis — providing angular positioning capability that a standard straight half-coupler cannot achieve in tight clearance or specific fixture orientation situations.
- Fits Between Diagonal Cross Bracing: The 30mm narrow profile clears the diagonal brace members of standard square truss systems — correctly sized for mid-span and single-tube positions where standard-width clamps cannot seat.
- Silver Finish: Aluminum surface integrates with standard silver truss systems — the correct finish when the installation is on silver truss and the clamp needs to match surrounding hardware.
- Max Load 300 kg: Medium-duty rating, TUV Nord Certified at 14.71 kN tensile strength for fixture mounting and accessory applications on 2-inch truss and pipe.
- Lightweight at 0.88 lbs: Compact and lightweight for use at multiple positions across a rig without adding significant load to the truss system.
- 48mm to 51mm Tube Fit: Fits standard 48mm to 51mm (2-inch) OD tubing — compatible with F34 truss, EVT290S, EVT290I main chords, and Schedule 40 aluminum pipe.
- 6061-T6 Aluminum Body: High-strength structural aluminum construction.
- S45C Carbon Steel Hardware: High-strength S45C carbon steel fasteners for reliable long-term clamping performance.
- TUV Nord Certified: Independently tested and certified load ratings.
- Wing Nut Closure: Tool-free collar tightening — open, seat, and lock without wrenches or hex keys.
- 3D File Available: STEP and DWG files available for download for CAD integration into structural drawings and rigging plans.
Assembly Instructions
- Release the wing nut by turning it counterclockwise to release the bolt and open the collar.
- Place the EVT50C-ASE on the truss, tube, or pipe and close the collar.
- Put the bolt back in place with the washer and wing nut above the collar.
- Make sure the EVT50C-ASE is located in its proper place on the truss, tube, or pipe before tightening the wing nut.
- Turn the wing nut clockwise to tighten and secure the EVT50C-ASE into place.
Safety and Rigging Notice
Critical Rigging Guidelines:
- Load Rating: Do not exceed the max load rating of the EVT50C-ASE or the rated capacity of the truss system it is installed on.
- Verify Clearance: Confirm that the clamp body clears all diagonal brace members at the intended installation position before tightening. Do not force the clamp into a position where the body contacts the truss bracing.
- Elbow Loading: Apply loads through the elbow attachment point in the direction the elbow is designed to carry — do not apply loads that exceed the rated capacity or act outside the intended load path.
- Inspection: The EVT50C-ASE should be fully inspected before every use. In the occurrence of any damage or defect, the clamp should not be used.
- Secondary Safety: The use of safety cables is recommended for maximum security on all overhead applications.
- Professional Review: The purchase of this product does not authorize or approve a specific installation or use. A licensed professional engineer shall review all structures, lighting plots, or other clamp uses.
